E is for Eiswein (aka Ice Wine)

“Merry Christmas!” my boss’s wife said setting a festive wine bag on my desk.
“You shouldn’t have,” I said with a smile, then extracted a thin bottle. She saw the puzzlement on my face.

Thanks for reading and for your comment! Yes, ice wine is a truly special dessert wine that deserves to be tried and loved! There are dozens of ice wine vineyards in Ontario, Canada that are well worth exploring! Happy A-Zing! Thanks!

  3. I'm not much of a wine drinker but that sounds delicious. All the more so if someone buys it and it proves they like you as per your boss, I'm sure.

  4. I'm glad you liked it. I got some when I was in Quebec years ago and didn't like the taste at all. Perhaps the sweetness was to much for me.

    1. Hi Tracy,
Thanks for reading and for your comment! Ice wine IS sweet, although some makers make it even sweeter. If you're in the mood to try ice wine again, try a bottle from the Niagara Peninsula , which are more natural, and use small glasses! Cheers and Happy A-Zing!
